OIC Brighton is an ambitious and aspirational community, which is open to 13 to 18-year-olds of all backgrounds and nationalities.
We accept applications all year round and all our programmes – pre-GCSE, one- and two-year GCSE, and two-year A-level – start in September.

Your admissions journey starts with our online enquiry form. Our friendly team can answer any questions, talk you through the application process, and confirm we have places available.
Apply
Ready to apply? You’ll need to complete our online form and pay our application fee.
Once we’ve received your form, we may ask you to provide some additional documents, such as school reports, reference letters, or exam certificates.
Assessments
We’ll then invite you to sit our admissions tests. The type of assessment you’ll take depends on the year group you’re joining.
- Years 9 and 10:
Online aptitude test and English assessment (if English is not your first language). - Year 11:
Online aptitude test and papers in Maths and Combined Science. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent of 5.5 for non-native English-speaking students. - Year 12:
For students based overseas; online aptitude test, papers in certain A Level subjects (Maths, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry). If a Humanities A Level subject is selected, a short essay-based assessment will be required.
For students based in the UK; Online aptitude test, GCSE predicted grades and an English assessment if English is not your first language.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent of 6.5 for non-native English-speaking students.
Successful applicants will then be invited to an online or in-person interview.
Offering and confirming your place
Once your assessments and interview have taken place, we’ll formally offer you place. Offers to non-native English-speaking students are conditional on your International English Language Testing System (IELTS) results. There may also be other conditions attached.
To confirm your place, you’ll need to sign and return the acceptance form and pay our deposit by the date specified in the offer letter.
Joining us from overseas? We’ll send you a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) document, which you’ll need for your visa application.
Pre-arrival information
We’ll send you a pre-arrival guide ahead of your first day, which contains essential information and a useful checklist of things to do before you join. We’ll also send you some documents, which you’ll need to complete and return to us.
