Oxford International College (OIC) Brighton is an independent, co-educational day and boarding college welcoming academically aspirational students from ages 13 to 18, offering them a strategic education model designed to guide them and nurture their talents.
Following the successful model of OIC Oxford, one of the UK’s top A-Level colleges, OIC Brighton places at its core a strong curriculum focus on the skills needed to thrive in higher education and employment, realised through an extensive Super Curricular programme designed to develop our students’ personal profiles from as early as Year 9. Our rigorous academic approach is underpinned by a strong pastoral support system, helping to prepare students in every possible way for their exams, university and beyond.
To celebrate the opening of OIC Brighton, we are offering significant Founders’ Scholarships for academic excellence.
We are delighted to invite you to come and take a tour around our stunning new campus, meet our team and learn how OIC Brighton can help your child gain entry to the university of their dreams.
For students looking for entry in September 2023, there will also be the opportunity for your child to sit an application assessment.
Women are the world’s teachers. From the mother’s evidenced impact on early childhood emotional and linguistic development, and the accuracy of a mother’s educational level as a predictor of a child’s outcomes, to the predominance of women in the education workforce (76% of teachers in the UK are female, according to the Department for Education, 2024), women have traditionally carried the greatest share of educating our children. The archetype of the wise woman exists across cultural boundaries, perhaps most prominently in matrilineal societies. In the settings in which many of us teach, the figure of the influential grandmother is a common and impactful one.
At OIC Brighton, we recognise that a balanced and healthy lifestyle is essential for both personal development and academic success. We are committed to fostering an environment where students can thrive not only in the classroom but also through physical activity and sports.
