OIC Brighton Headstart Programme

One of the highlights of the Headstart Programme was a trip to Cambridge, where students were treated to a guided tour of the historic colleges and the city. This experience not only offered them a glimpse into one of the world’s most prestigious academic environments but also fuelled their aspirations as they explored the rich history and academic excellence that Cambridge has to offer.

The programme continued with a lively bowling outing, which provided a fun and relaxed environment for our students to bond with friends both old and new. This event was a perfect opportunity for students to strengthen connections and enjoy a bit of light-hearted competition before the rigorous academic year begins.

In addition, a recent STEM workshop provided students with a hands-on exploration of the fascinating world of medical science, focusing on the study of diseases and the testing of blood samples. During the workshop, students had the opportunity to engage in practical experiments that simulated real-world diagnostic techniques. They learned how to analyse blood samples, identify potential markers of disease and understand the process behind medical testing. This experience not only deepened their knowledge of human biology but also sparked a keen interest in the vital role that science plays in healthcare.

With these enriching experiences, our students are not only well-prepared but also highly motivated as they embark on the new academic year at OIC Brighton. We are excited to see the enthusiasm and dedication they bring to their studies!
